I’ve always chosen the 600’s Adequate power and manageable. Probably same for the 750 I guess. Never had any desire to own a 1000cc Unless you regularly do track days, you never really use all that power.

I save 30 bucks a day commuting on my bike. It'll pay for itself pretty fast.

My first bike is a 2014 gsxr 1000. 23 years old. Got it last week, very easy to learn on and very comfortable on it now through the power band with just a few days riding experience and 100 miles of riding. Maturity is everything with these bikes. I’ve only ever ridden a dirt bike before but 1000cc is not anymore difficult if you respect the bike.

Great tip. For the Cruiser and Chopper boys like myself. We lean back and curv our backs when it comes to highway speeds. By straightening our arms there are no room for the bars to move. By our backs leaning backwards we are now one with the bike in terms of stability.

I used to grip my dirt bikes tight when I was little and in a race a got wobbles and crashed my dad (ex supercross racer for Kawasaki ) taught me to toilet paper rolls horizontally in my hands and to grip the handles like that

Even if you learn on a liter bike as a beginner, you're not really learning a whole lot or at least slowing the learning curve down. Body positioning, clutch work, etc is better learned on a bike you're not constantly fighting to keep under control.

And if you are just out riding on Fun and Good Will, assuming everyone is a sober, undistracted law biding citizen...Well you are dead wrong! You should treat everyone and everything out on the road as a potential road hazard! Were they in the wrong? Probably. Are you likely injured for life? Well, unless you're lucky then yes, Probably! Ride within your limit, maintain your bike, and ride like you are invisible! Edit: btw nice bike man man love the red. My buddies recommended me the same bike as you, but I went with the sv650 instead. Its in great condition , its an 08, 3rd owner, only scratches on it are from me! it has ABS and just is more forgiving for me as a learner. ABS has saved my butt multiple times. a 650 is more than enough for anyone to get into trouble with, its faster than vast majority of vehicles yet its quite beginner friendly. My buddies probably think its lame but I probably shouldnt ride with them anyway so i dont care lol.
